Coyote Flats is a small-town home to one of the longest summer rodeo circuit and training pens in the U.S. Right across from the Coyote Flats Rodeo arena is locally owned and operated, coffeehouse and bakery, Dust and Sugar, by The Hollanders. The coffeehouse is known for its popularity among rodeo spectators and the riders themselves, with elaborate themed drinks and bites, different each season and a percent of its earnings go towards gear and training lessons for beginners.
Shane Hollander is son of Yuna and David, owners of Dust and Sugar, a soon to be graduate from nearby college with a business management and marketing degree, autism, and a strict routine. Each rodeo season brings him disruptions, in his routines and on the spreadsheets, he loves and hates it in equal measures.
Ilya Rozanov is a rising star in the bull riding world, known for his extreme recklessness and bad habits in and out the stables. First-generation American Russian immigrant, with dusty blonde curls and hazel eyes that tempt even the wisest of wives, he is a mess threatening Shane's stable, yet boring life.
Between coffee orders and 8 seconds of controlled violence, the two find themselves fighting for control.

Summary
After a tentative and still-unspoken reconciliation, the bats decide they want to get Jason a thoughtful birthday gift—something unique, weird, and a little bit healing. They stumble on an uncannily accurate Etsy shop run out of Gotham that deals in custom tarot, cryptid plushies, enchanted objects, and spiritually-infused oddities.
The shop owner creates Jason-themed gifts way too specific to be coincidence. Suspicious and annoyed, Jason visits the shop to confront the creator—only to find someone equally guarded, clever, and painfully kind. Cue awkward tension, bizarre spiritual chaos, and family shenanigans as the bats keep inserting themselves.
A slow-burn romance between the walking embodiment of death and a weird spiritual guy who seems to know a little too much about Jason's inner demons—and accepts them anyway. -
