You coughed and wheezed, body curling up into a small ball as a fist repeatedly pounded into the back of your neck. Your hands stuck up from being buried under your body, attempting to guard your face as your husband grabbed you by the hair. His fingers curled throughout your thick locks, practically grabbing your scalp as he tugged and stared at you with a manic look in his eye. You whined, a low and helpless noise erupting from your bruised and scratched throat preventing you from shouting as you kept your hands over your face so he couldn’t hit you. Your efforts did nothing to help you, strong fingers gripping at your wrists and pulling them away from your face as he pulled them outwards as hard as he could.

Arthur ain't the type of man to sugarcoat things. He's been raped by that bastard in the swamps and dumped off somewhere away from that shack. Now he has to ride back to camp, shouldering the fresh trauma knowing he can't tell anyone what happened. He's used to pain but, damn... this is different.
