“I think… the elevator just broke down.” Richie said, huffing in surprise at the realization. Eddie stared at him in abject horror.

Saihara does remember the way, having been here a handful of times already, but crossing through Gokuhara’s large house alone, potentially passing staff—or even worse, Gokuhara’s parents—in the hallway is far more daunting a prospect than Saihara would like. He swallows dryly and nods regardless, taking another jerky step up the stairs.
“I’ll be alright,” Saihara dismisses. “Um—should I just go in…?”
Gokuhara nods. He doesn’t smile, but his harsh gaze softens in that way it sometimes does when he looks at Saihara; a firm, warm hand clasps Saihara’s shoulder and then retracts. “Gonta will only be a minute.”
