His face is pale. Lips curled up in a grotesque smile. Torn up the cheeks, oozing blood that drips onto the cement floor. One hand rips at his dark hair, greasy and limp over manic eyes. The other hangs at his side, limply clinging to a gun. “Ha ha ha-” Half frantic laughter, half distraught sobs that rattle through his chest.
Between them, the Joker’s body. Blood blossoming around his head. Brain matter spattered on the floor. Smiling. Eyes vacantly staring up at the ceiling.
“Hahahahaha-”
Bruce approaches slowly. Like he’s approaching a skittish animal. “Tim,” he says softly, and the boy blinks at him, still laughing, still sobbing. There are tears in his eyes. “Tim, put down the gun.”

Summary
Strange things are going on in Gotham: A series of crimes linked only by a sentence uttered. A drug that no one seems to be selling, but lots of people are taking. An old enemy reborn, or someone pretending to be him. Graffiti that can't be photographed by normal means. Bartenders disappearing without a trace. John Constantine is also there.
Danny wants nothing to do with any of it. He just wants to sell burgers and survive. Actually, he'd like to go home again, but since that isn't possible, he'll stick with burgers.
Gotham's vigilante's have other plans.
This is why Danny doesn't do favors.

No one's ever heard him speak. Anyone who's ever seen him says he looks like an experiment gone wrong, that Hood picked him up somewhere unspeakable. They say he'll do anything Red Hood asks of him and he'll do it well. That he's strong and fast and probably inhuman. The girls say he's sweet, quiet but charming in his own way. Rival gangs say he's vicious, that he'd sooner rip your throat out than let you go. Jason just wants to help him.

In freshman year of high school, Danny pulled away from his friends without explanation.
At sixteen, he disappeared. Sam and Tucker presumed him dead. His parents insisted he was taken by ghosts.
As young adults, they run into him in Gotham, of all places. It's a stroke of luck that brings their best friend back to them.
If only it was that easy for the Bats to find the god damn engineer that's been running circles around them while they try to track him down.
Tim's not sure what he'll do first when he finally finds the brilliant bastard - kiss him or punch his teeth in.

Tim steps numbly into his room and gapes in abject disbelief.
Sitting propped against his bed amidst scattered rose petals is one of his stolen bike tires, wearing - with the assistance of duct tape - lingerie of undetermined origin.
There has never been a flower girl happier than Jason Todd skipping down his brother's hallway with a tire and a mission from God.
Tim crouches in front of a little mini fridge with a curl of suspicion and opens the door.
It's divided into two sections, a little laminated sign marking each.
