Just remember the next time you're running around these galas and dinners and parties, and you’re all done up on the outside like the clamorous little peacock you are, with your chains and your rings and all this frivolous fabric,” he said, flicking the fur that was draped around Aventurine's neck, “Inside, you’re the same empty, pathetic man you always have been. You cannot purchase what your soul lacks.”
