Eddie is so close, too, that Buck can feel his body heat. He’s the only one who gets into bed with him; everyone else sticks to the chair or even just stays in the living room and leaves him to sleep on his own. Buck doesn’t have a preference for any; it’s not like he can’t sleep without having someone in the room with him, but for some reason, having Eddie in bed with him is more comforting than he thought it would be.

Buck has lost a lot of weight, not only because of the recovery from his injuries that had him on bed rest for weeks, but also because once he was cleared to do light activities, Buck chose to stay in bed instead. He’d been moving from the bed to the couch for weeks, walking around the house like a ghost, barely speaking and barely aware of the world around him, really.
