Summary
Chim takes in Maddie’s heat scent. Even to his beta nose it's demanding and enticing. Maddie smells, at all times, of fresh, clean linen and a hint of honeysuckle. When he first met her, and especially right after their encounter with Doug, her scent had a slight unpleasant smell of antiseptic mixed in. One he can recognize as the scent of abused omega only from encountering it often enough on the job. They lovingly and painstakingly worked that traumatized tinge out of her scent together the past few years. However, when she’s in heat she smells like sweet roses, scent unfolding and blossoming just for him, the harsh smell of antiseptic nowhere to be found.

Summary
Stan sits on the bathroom counter and washes as Eddie determinedly washes the mud out of his three-year-old's hair. He thinks about how much Eddie suffered to bring his children into the world.
"Eddie, I still don't feel good about this," he admits, "your pregnancy was so high risk and-"
Eddie sighs, cutting him off. "Stan, I've made a lot of hard decisions in my life, helping my friends has never been one of them," he responds.
"Maybe we should try looking for another surrogate again or something. You know Richie isn't gonna be on board with this," he points out.
"That process can take years and you've already tried to find someone. Ultimately it's my choice whether or not I do this. I've come to terms with any consequences I may face along the way. I have agency and I want to help," he says firmly.
Stan wants to argue more but he knows it's pointless. "You better get through this okay."
Eddie turns and gives him a smirk. "Don't worry, I'm a tough cookie, Stanny."

“I’ve seen them sleeping on the cold white sand,” he whispers, guiding Bill back to his starting position against Stan’s chest.
He wraps his arms around both his mates, slowly rocking back and forth. He presses his lips to Bill’s neck. “My dove, my dove,” he says in time with the music before pausing to look at Stan, bring a hand up to cup his face, gently caressing his cheek with his thumb. “My lamb,” he finishes.
