Summary
Restless and unable to quiet his thoughts after the Maleshov battle, Hans Capon finds himself drawn toward Henry’s chambers, chasing a feeling he can’t quite name. Something has been pulling him closer to the blacksmith’s boy for weeks - something he refuses to call by its name. But when he reaches the door, he hears another voice inside. Devil’s voice.
"Hynek, please..." Henry’s voice came again, thick with breath.
"I know how you feel about him... this isn’t only about duty..."
"You don’t know what you’re talking about, Devil..."
"But I do. Believe me, I do... I’ve been there. And I am fond of our Birdie too as you may have noticed..."
The moans grew louder. Hans froze, his pulse hammering in his ears. Confusion tangled with heat that crawled up his neck.
"Do you wish he was doing what I’m doing to you? Would you want him in my place, Henry? Tell me..."Three men, one night, and the warmth that changes everything they thought they knew about one another.

“Hans.”
Silence falls at last, sudden and complete. They stand facing one another, close enough now that Henry can see the pulse fluttering at Hans’ throat. Close enough to see the way his hands tremble, just slightly, at his sides. Henry steps forward and sets the book firmly on the bed between them. He straightens, meeting Hans’ eyes at last.
“I know you wrote this,” he says.
Hans’ carefully assembled mask falters, its edges cracking to reveal a sharp pain behind his eyes. Then he laughs, once, short and broken, and drags a hand through his hair. Behind it all, a small and delicate flicker of something remains, a trembling ounce of hope.
“How,” Hans stops himself, taking a deep breath before continuing, “how much of it did you read?”...
“All of it.”
OR: What if that book and potion we find under Hans’ bed in the Devil’s Den were ACTUALLY his (and written about a certain someone), and Henry finds it…?

Summary
In a kingdom that's on the brink of war, an Omega is too dangerous to be left unclaimed.
Hans Capon does not want a husband, especially not another one of Uncle Hanush's poorly arranged matches. He's run away before and he'll do so again.
Meanwhile, Henry has been tasked with becoming Hans' newest husband. He is the shield that is supposed to protect Hans.
While their marriage begins as a necessity, they both grow together and discover what it's like to finally rely on another person as their relationship blossoms into something neither of them expected.
