Benji has a problem.
Well, no. He used to have a problem. But it's well in hand now and he's got the EMT certification to back that up (under a false name, but still). So everything's fine. Really.
Until some bloody Alexa with a nuclear sticker on the top asks exactly the wrong questions, and suddenly all of Benji's meticulous, private plans are dragged out into the light.
Turns out, according to Ethan, Benji does have a problem.
And Ethan Hunt has never met a problem he hasn't thrown himself headfirst into solving.

Summary
There had to be some explanation for how exposure to the roughly three-fourths of a vehicle not directly linked to the acceleration system turned Ethan into a present and terrifying danger to himself and everyone in his vicinity. Benji was a scientist, for God’s sake. He deserved answers.
The many, many times that things would have been simpler with Ethan in the driver's seat, and the one time it wasn't.
