“And us?” Mike presses, a sick sense of deja vu creeping coldly over his brain.
Will exhales sharply, “We’re friends. We’re friends! You made sure of that. So I don’t know why you’re so mad at me!”
“Because it was supposed to be me!”
Will blinks, “What are you talking about?”
“I’m mad because it was supposed to be me!” Mike shouts it desperately, like a plea, like this is making him go crazy, and fuck, maybe it is, “After everything—at the end—it was meant to be me. Not him. I don’t want it to be him. I want it to be me.”
Or, Mike doesn't realize his own feelings, until Will's are staring him dead in the face. Vecna's gone, they're nearing the end of their senior year, and all of a sudden Will has a boyfriend. Everything goes downhill pretty quickly from there.

“Oh, now you can talk to me? Were you too busy thinking about that girl and her hands all over you?” Will teased, his voice shaking.
“Fuck her,” Mike snapped.“Fuck me,” Will countered, his voice a desperate rasp.
Mike stared down at him, his silhouette dark. He shook his head. “No.”“Okay, fine. I’m leaving.” Will shoved Mike’s chest, scrambling out from under him and heading for the door. He didn't get far. Mike beat him to it, slamming his back against the wood, blocking the exit.
“Move, Mike,” Will demanded, but Mike stayed where he was at.
“You want me to touch you so bad?” Mike asked, his voice firm, vibrating in the small space between them. “After you let him put his mouth on you? After you let him drag you into a bathroom like you belonged to him?”
Mike leaned down, his face inches from Will’s, his breath smelling faintly of the liquor from earlier. “You think you can just come back here and have me crawl all over you? After I had to watch him mark you?” He looked down at Will, “Get on your knees. If you want me so badly, show me who you really belong to.”
or Mike is super possesive and Will tries to antagonize him into fucking him hard

Max arches a brow. “Carlton, though? You two are dating and you don’t even kiss? Is it just a preference thing?”
Will sighs, resigned. He drops his hands. “Okay. Honestly?” He hesitates, then shrugs. “He was a bad kisser. And I just… couldn’t get excited around him. At all.”
The reaction is immediate and merciless. Dustin makes a dramatic gagging noise. El gasps like she’s been handed gossip gold. Lucas high-fives Max, shaking her hand in his.
Mike doesn’t say anything. He just watches Will, watches the way he shrugs it off, the way he laughs a little too loud, the way his ears go red.
Or, Will's new boyfriend is a bad kisser. Mike thinks it's a crime that no one has kissed Will properly. He's on a goal to change that, Carlton be damned.
