Summary

Eddie Munson hates top 40 music and the mindless conformity of house parties packed with preppy teens. But tonight, necessity wins out, he’s here to sell, and they’re willing to pay. Business is good until Steve Harrington, party host and birthday boy, sits down across from him looking anything but celebratory. Tired, hollow-eyed, and quietly bitter, Steve shares a joint with Eddie, their banter teetering between sardonic and unexpectedly intimate.
What begins as a transactional night quickly shifts into something softer. Tired of being the life of the party, Steve offers to buy out Eddie’s dwindling stash just for an excuse to leave with him. They spend the rest of the night trading barbed jokes and surprisingly personal confessions over milkshakes and burgers, well chicken in Steve’s case, the menace. The party fades in the rearview mirror as Steve slowly lets his mask drop, revealing a version of himself Eddie never expected to see—vulnerable, thoughtful, and dangerously charming.

Class 1A is fairly close-knit given the attacks they faced in the beginning and having to watch All Might retire. Trauma and mandatory dormitory housing brings students closer, who would have thought? Everyone is constantly in each other's business and gossip is shut down fairly quickly which is why it comes as a shock when Todoroki casually mentions he’s been seeing someone for months. Months.
