    Summary

    A few people have asked if I would make a series for my Fire Lord Zuko fics so they’re easier to read, so here we are! The fics aren’t linear, or necessarily connected (though I do recycle original characters, and occasionally reference an event mentioned in another fic) but you don’t need to read all of them in order to understand one of them, so you’re free to read whichever ones you want. Enjoy!!

      Banished and without purpose, Zuko has been living with Uncle Iroh in Ba Sing Se for the last several years.
      They've managed to stay out of the war, but the war finds them anyway when the Earth Kingdom decides enough is enough and launches a counter attack on the Fire Nation.
      Separated from Uncle Iroh and with the entire Earth Kingdom looking for him, Zuko has no choice but to return to the place he once called home
      Somehow, against all odds, he ends up at the South Pole instead. The spirits really had it out for him, didn't they?
      Wounded and stuck, Zuko decides to wait for his injuries to heal before he sets out again to find Uncle Iroh and return to the Fire Nation.
      But as the days go by, it's getting harder and harder to want to leave.

    The short answer: you shouldn't. It is all consuming. Burning. Will leave spots in your vision that linger at the edges of sight until you have nearly managed to convince yourself of permanent loss. The sun is a great, burning anomaly that is equal parts beauty and pain. The sun takes. The sun is blonde, with blue eyes, and stares you down and demands and demands. The sun is oozing blood beside him on the cliffside and Sasuke is sorry for what has brought them here. The sun is smiling and asking Sasuke if he'll stay. If he'll slow down for a little bit. Sasuke stares at the sun, his eyes are burning with exhaustion and tears, and for once in his life gives in.

    Sasuke returns to Konoha and it isn't as simple or easy as Naruto thought it would be. Just when things can't get worse, he's universally hated by nearly everyone in the village, a new threat appears and Konoha is all too quick to place the blame on Sasuke's shoulders.

    It wasn't that Phayu never intended to introduce Rain to his family. He had every intention to do it but with everything that had happened recently he worried that his family would be too much for Rain to handle when he was still recovering emotionally after Stop and Gun. He hadn't expected his Papa finding out about Rain and reprimanding him for it to lead to his sunshine boy revealing a past that was anything but. Still, he and his family would ensure Rain remained right by their side where he belonged no matter what.
