It's November 1987, and life in Hawkins still isn't quite back to normal. The "aftershocks of last year's earthquake" (an explanation Mike still can't believe anyone buys) are becoming more frequent, spitting nasty otherworldly surprises into town. But no one has been able to track down Vecna himself. Following a lead on a mysterious delivery to the old HNL building, the Party learns Will's connection to the Upside Down may not be as severed as they'd hoped. When Will subsequently begins to see through Vecna's eyes in dreams, the gang thinks they may finally have a way to find and defeat him once and for all. As Will throws himself into this task, hoping to assuage the guilt he still feels from his last stint as the spy, Mike must grapple with his own mounting feelings of helplessness. Mike had promised Will they would be a team—but what can he bring to the table right now? And can he even hold their team together when the stakes are higher than ever, and Will won't stop pushing him away?

Summary
When a trip into the forest goes terribly wrong, Dipper and Mabel Pines are cursed and experience some...changes.
Dipper's now sporting antlers and hooves, while Mabel has some new fishy scales.
To make matters worse, the curse spreads to the town, slowly turning person after person into a monster.
Meanwhile, Bill Cipher takes pleasure in the town's folks' dilemma, until he too, is unexpectedly affected by the curse.
But how do you turn something that's already a monster into one?

“Yeah, sorry I uh- I mean no.” He stutters, trying to force the words out.
“What?” Will looks down at him, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
“No.”
“What do you mean no?” Will asks, his expression changing from confusion to something that almost looks like shock.
“I- sorry, yeah I’ll- I’ll help.” He replies, shaking his head, in disbelief that he couldn't even last ten seconds before immediately caving and doing as Will asked.
“Wow.” Max scoffs in amusement, clapping her hands dramatically. “Look at that Wheeler, you almost did it, you almost said no to Will. Very proud.” She sarcastically praises.
Or
Max makes fun of Mike for doing whatever Will wants so Mike tries to prove her wrong but fails miserably.
Will finds it funny and tests just how much Mike is willing to do for him, the answer is a lot.Bookmarked by kruspp
