He was always able to do that. To envision melodies from a few words on a page. If he tried especially hard, he could almost taste it; folk songs were earthy, musky even, disco was sickly, almost like hard-boiled sweets. But nothing tasted as good as rock ’n’ roll— it was sharp, lemony, though not enough to make Remus’ lips purse. It was more like an explosion of the senses, a pinnacle of ecstasy that thrilled every inch of his body and made the hairs stand up on his arms. Electrifying.

Summary
Sirius Black is a good equestrian. Probably one of the best in his age group. One day, he's certain he'll enter the OL ring. But until then, he's still a schoolboy with huge dreams. Unfortunately for him, those dreams and other, more important stuff, have got in the way of school work the past two terms at Hartwick Riding Academy, and his mother isn't pleased, so she decides she'll hire a student who'll take care of Sirius's horse in all other circumstances than riding, so her son will have more time for studying. Sirius isn't very pleased with that.
Remus was supposed to graduate last term. He was supposed to graduate and be finished with school, but that last Christmas changed everything. Changed him. He's not the same person he was before the accident, but he and his mother agreed that it'd be best if he tried to get back on track. So, back to school, retake the year. But Remus is in pain, and knowing his mother is tight with money, he doesn't want to ask her to pay for his pain medication prescriptions, so Remus gets a job.
