The marauders grow over the years and turn into more than just a friendship, but a family. They make trouble and have lots of fun doing it.
See how the marauders perfect world fell apart during Voldemort's first rise to power.
Try to follow along with Cannon, however there will be slight diversions. There's a slow burn Jily and possibly Wolfstar over the years. Peter is included as a marauder since his betrayal hurt so bas because he was highly trusted by his friends.
Can't wait to get into the later years at Hogwarts where the fun really happens, but the first bit sets up the events to come.- Words:

Summary
The purposefully boring reaction died on his tongue the second he saw the picture on the screen. He hadn’t even read the headline yet, too nervous to find out what it could be saying. Because on the screen in front of him was the cocky face of Ilya Rozanov and, if Shane was not completely mistaken, it appeared he was sat in an Ottawa Centaurs jersey.
“What the fuck is going on?” Shane hissed, eyes bulging in a way that he was sure would have been comical if his whole world wasn’t caving in on him again. Ilya Rozanov was meant to be gone forever. That was the agreement he had assumed they had come to when he had run off to Russia without a single text and had never been in contact again.

OR: Two years after Ilya Rozanov mysteriously left Boston mid-contract to return to the Russian league, he has returned under equally mysterious circumstances. Shane wants nothing more than to pretend he is still an ocean away, if only Ilya would let him.

Summary
My intention is for this series to be supplemental to the Heated Rivalry TV series. Each work will be a stand-alone perspective of either Shane or Ilya (and probably a few cameos by ancillary characters) throughout the series. Everything written will always be canon-compliant with the TV show. Any future references I might use from the books may not remain canon compliant if the TV show heads in a different direction. But I don't expect to be writing that far into the future for that to be an issue.
I am essentially trying to both expand the episode and go deeper into themes, rationales, and actions of the characters. For a multimedia type experience, readers could read these while watching the actual episodes; I do that when I'm writing.
