One night at a party, Robin rescues her from an overzealous frat guy by blurting out that they’re dating, and suddenly everyone believes it. No matter how many times Nancy insists it isn’t true, her friends refuse to be convinced.

Using music and lyrics to express their true feelings, will the 'whiskey-glass-half-empty' singer and the driven optimist allow themselves to cross the boundary between musical allegories and reality, or are the smoke and mirrors offered by the whimsical city of gleaming spires too perfect of an illusion to hide behind?

She flits her gaze to Sylvie. “And you’re also a Loki?”
“Actually,” Sylvie says. “If anything, the rest of them are also me.”
Valkyrie can respect that. She looks to Loki. “And you are a Loki from a similar timeline, just not our timeline.”
“Yes.”
Valkyrie sees someone she thought she'd never see again, Mobius is gleeful to be out of the TVA, and every single person gets comfortable knitwear.

“I think you can go faster. You can definitely go faster. Even snails go faster than this,” Loki remarks irritably.
“Nice. Backstabber and a backseat driver,” Mobius mutters, shifting the gears nonetheless as they drive up the mountain. “Speed-limits exist for a reason - I’m sticking to it so we reach our destination in one piece.”
Sylvie clicks on the TemPad, scanning the event details over once more.
“Take the next right, then it’s up at the top.”
“Got it.” Mobius even puts the indicator on as they turn. “Hey, you have a good navigation voice. You should consider that for the future, in case this little plan of yours doesn’t work out.”
“It’ll work,” Sylvie spits, somehow unable to swallow her irritation at the casual coolness directed her way.
And yet. Her tongue burns.
“It’s not little.”
Mobius taps the steering wheel in a playful rhythm.
“Whatever you say.”
The plan years in the making is shot. And now there’s a very real possibility they will all be sharing their final moments together which, for the record, is a really shit way to go.

Steeling himself, Mobius takes a breath. What comes out of his mouth next is beyond absurd.
“Okay, so here it is." Pause. "I’ve known him longer than you.”
That is hardly the mic drop moment Mobius seems to think it is. It's just plain embarrassing. Sylvie glances over to Loki.
“Seriously?” She asks. "Is he actually being serious?”
Loki gives no answer. He seems to think if he just stands there and says nothing it makes him invisible.
"Anything else, Morbius?"
"It's Mobius, actually.”
Sylvie shrugs. She feigns picking out dirt beneath her nails.
“Potayto potahto.”
How’s that for a roast.
“You know what," Mobius starts, invigorated. "Now that you mention it, yeah. Yeah - this little potato here has plenty more left in him to mash. Guess what, you’re not the only one taking promenades with Loki through apocalypses.”
Sylvie cannot carry the entire fate of the sacred timeline on her shoulders along with whatever the Hel these two have going on. And yet.

Sam’s finger hovers over the delete button for the fourth time that day. He can see the timestamp, it matches too closely to the timestamp on the files in front of him. The countless documents he just can’t seem to make sense of.
Everything is a reminder of Bucky. Everywhere he goes, he hears his voice ringing through his ears. Everytime he closes his eyes, he sees Bucky’s weathered yet gentle face staring back at him. Everytime he sleeps, he dreams of the blood, cold, stiff skin pressing against his own, his screams ripping through him while clear pure tears mixed with thick red blood, a polarising stark contrast that sends Sam nearly spiralling into another breakdown everytime he even dares think about it.
He knows what’s in the voicemail. He can see the timestamp.
New Voicemail: Bucky Barnes - 2:46am, Friday, June 16, 2025.
He looks down at the documents, and he feels that hole unsheath its claws and dig into him again, tightening its grasp until all the air has left Sam again.
