Summary
Senku had worked hard and made so many sacrifices. He dedicated his life to rebuilding what was lost during the long initial petrification. When that proved inefficient and how much couldn’t be recovered became clear, he aimed even higher: preventing the petrification in the first place.
Gen came charging into the lab shortly after Senku finished compiling his findings. Gen had long hair now, all a bright white bound in a leather thong that would be very masculine if it didn’t have flowers embossed on it, and leaned hard on a cane. He was full of demands. ‘Don’t you dare’ and ‘Stop this madness’ and ‘Burn it all’ and even ‘Take me with you.’
The next morning Seku woke up in in 2016 with the oddest impression that an experiment had gone badly wrong. He’d had a strange dream of being an old man in a wheelchair arguing with another old person, but why dwell on stupid nonsensical dreams? There was a world to explore!

Summary
Gen has grown fond of the village’s progression as of late. Kokuyo’s sentimental nature has begun to peak through now that he’s free from chiefdom and the daily battle of parenting a dying daughter. The townspeople have come alive with curiosity as of late. Discovering Ruri’s innate ability to understand people.
Ultimately, though, his eyes always drift back to Senku. Senku, who should by all means read as awkward and brash, but is instead welcoming in his blunt nature.
Senku, who is full of enough knowledge and passion to send this village hurtling into the modern era. Who finds time to make a cola while rushing to cure pneumonia.
Senku, who is always watching, too.

Luffy’s suggestion comes from nowhere, completely unfounded and dripping with unwavering sincerity. Cards drop to the deck, hands freeze, voices stutter. Nami blinks a few times in rapid succession. There’s no way she heard him right.

Or: Luffy ‘proposes’ (in his own way) to the rest of the east blue five, and Nami’s forced to come to terms with the fact that maybe she does feel something more for her gaggle of idiot boys.
