Two big, fat tears rolled onto the bridge of Wei Ying’s nose, down his flushed cheeks and onto Lan Zhan’s pillow. His breathing was choppy, eyes glazed over.
It was then that Lan Zhan realised; Wei Ying wasn’t sick.

Jake looks at him and takes a second to truly look.
His son’s eyes gleamed with unshed tears, face contorted in a pleading expression Jake had never before seen.
And shit, Jake is always soft on his kids, would uproot the whole world if they asked him to.
He isn’t even aware he’s standing till he hears his own voice resonating in his ears. “That’s utter bullshit and we all know it.”

Quaritch looks at her in disbelief. “Holy fucking shit. Twenty years, Neytiri, twenty fucking years! And that didn’t mean shit to you? We lived in these damn blue bodies, we had kids, and you still think we’re some aliens?”
Jake finally finds his voice.
“Do you hate your kid’s human side?” Jake asks, voice wavering. “Every time they make a mistake, every time they do something to irritate you; is all you see that they’re human? That they’re aliens?”

Summary
Jake was exhausted.
Exhausted in a way he had never really felt before. His feet were swollen, he hated any attainable food and was starving at the same time and from one second to the other, it was either too hot or too cold. He was trying his best to relax and to take a nap since Mo’at had taken Neteyam and Kiri to watch over them so he could rest but he was restlessly tossing and turning. The fact that the mildly sized baby bump prevented him from lying on his belly didn’t help.

Summary
When Lo’ak was little, he had had a serious problem with leaving Jake.
He screamed, cried, and yelled, absolutely refusing to go anywhere or do anything unless Jake was by his side.
Neytiri said while the severity of his possessiveness was abnormal, it made sense considering he was a young alpha and was very connected to his bearer.
So Jake tried to slowly pull himself away from Lo’ak; it only made him cling on even tighter.
The first time Jake tried to sleep away from Lo’ak, he had cried till he was on the verge of passing out and there had been no amount of consoling Jake could do to stop the tears.
Jake remembered it like it was yesterday.
