The echo of what Moiraine had asked him in frustration an hour earlier made Rand actually stop for a moment and think. He could be reasonable. He would be reasonable. Reasonable people knew that they weren’t Lews Therin Telamon reborn.
“She never tells me the whole truth. If she told me everything she knew and explained why it made me the Dragon – and if it made sense – then maybe I would believe her. But it’s just impossible.”

“Look at the hair,” the drunk man said. “Ain’t nobody but an Aiel’s got that hair, and I should know.” He slapped his chest, and his tablemates laughed. Nobody else did. Mat was looking at him like he was noticing his hair for the first time, and then he looked alarmed too, and glanced at the gleeman.
The musician stood hastily. “Come now, Orban, look at him. He doesn’t even have cadin’sor. He’s not Aiel.”

Summary
In the aftermath of their night together, Moiraine and Rand try to determine what it means for them, both individually and apart. Rand struggles to understand the depth of his feelings for Moiraine. She in turn attempts to decide what the relationship will look like in the future, as she was taken off guard by the sudden change. Lan just wishes he didn't have to feel any of it through the bond in the first place.

“But he is the Dragon! And I am to guide him!” Moiraine buried her face in her hands. “For twenty years I have known that that is how it would be.”
“Perhaps that is not how it has to be,” Bair suggested, as if it was not the most – most – almost sacrilegious thing that could be said. Moiraine looked at her between her fingers, lightning struck down to her core.

Summary
Bair was telling Moiraine about what she would go through in Rhuidean, and he wanted to listen, but the idea of dying there and not really knowing the truth of his past was pricking at him like the burrs of a puncturevine in the Westwood. He turned to Melaine.
“What did she mean? About my mother?”
Melaine looked at him reluctantly. He got the impression that he was interrupting some kind of scripted speech about Rhuidean, but now that he had asked the question, he didn’t care much until he got an answer. “You wish to know the story of Shaiel?” she asked.
Shaiel. His mother’s name. Maybe someday he would see Tam again and be able to tell him the name of the woman he had sat with on a mountain slope.
“Yes.”

Summary
Rand wasn’t sure when it started, but it was definitely after Rhuidean. Maybe when he held her in his arms and stumbled his way to the top of the hill. When he handed her over to Lan but her arm reached out for him for just a moment, when she looked at him with no mask over her face. Or maybe it started when she asked him a question about the Power, how he drew so much of it. She had not felt that asking him was ridiculous, she thought he had advice for her.

Zagreus must be stopped. Hades knows this. If he finds Persephone, if he reveals everything that happened with her, it will be Hades who will have to pay for it; Persephone will be trapped yet again, and Hades will lose what little he’s been able to claw out for himself. So Zagreus must be stopped.
