He's been down this road before, fallen in love as many times as he's practiced his knife skills, each time a pretty woman smiles at him and a few rare times in the past when a man has looked at him just right, or said something that reeled him in. Zeff once told him he had a soft heart, that he fell too easily for people, that it was going to get him hurt one day. Sanji is pretty sure he was right, that he is a little in love with every person he's ever met. Compensation for a lack of love in his childhood, he supposes, but it's not the worst flaw he could have.

Sanji falls in love with all of his friends. Then he falls in love with Zoro, which is not the same thing.

Aleksandr was predictable. He spent his time quietly. The same every day, precisely as he liked it. Rising before the sun, listening to the stillness of the morning, and settling in to his desk with poor posture and bitter coffee, typing away. Each morning a gentle calling, a cat mewling for food, a pinging email waiting to be responded to, a dark living room where no one was really living. Each evening was a thrumming sameness. A short bus ride into town, meaningless errands completed without a single thought, a sigh slumped over at a bar counter, staring listlessly into a dripping glass. Silence suited him, repetitiveness worn like an ill-fitting coat he couldn't bear to toss out. Aleksandr was alone, precisely as he liked it. He did like it, didn't he?
Not many people seemed to come into his life out of nowhere anymore. No one new trying to be friends, no one curious trying to find love. It was like the world around him could sense he had long ago stopped trying to be interesting, and interested in anyone else. Save for a few regular faces at a few regular places, it was a solitary existence for almost a decade. Until that loud, strange man with wild hair.
All of it was a blur, until Davit.

Wireface nods as if he has any fucking clue what’s going on. It’s cute, in a funny way. “Okay. I’m leaving.” He shortly waves, forcing his gaze off the man and feeling like his feet are made up of ten tons of concrete as he opens the door to go.
“Bahbye!” he hears behind him.
