Summary
The fight between Robert and Shroud ends much differently. He had still gotten away in the nick of time and the bomb had still been stuck to his suit. However, the explosion had left Robert with injuries so severe that it was a miracle he'd survived. Regardless of how life-altering his injuries were, SDN was still willing to take a chance on Robert. Managing his disabilities and mentoring the team was the hardest balancing act of his life.
Will Robert fuck up his only chance of becoming Mecha Man again? Or will he manage to contain it all, and find himself growing a little too close to a certain flaming asshole?

Summary
Caine is all powerful, they all know that much. He is capable of anything in this digital world. He is the circus, in a way.
But he’s also a wacky AI. And tech like that can get buggy, no matter how advanced.
Or: Caine glitches during an update and accidentally opens up the cellar, letting out all the abstracted cast members that were supposed to stay locked away forever. Jax shows he cares more than he lets on.

He held his breath from where he was hiding as another deep rumble flowed through the crumbling circus, followed by a deep growl: an abstracted human.
Since Caine had been deleted, the cellar had opened up, nothing keeping it shut anymore.
And the abstracted humans ran free.
