She’s so busy, is the thing. Adaine’s always been so busy with school, adventures, and whatever else she’s got going on that she hadn’t noticed. She hadn’t noticed the ache that lingered after a Healing Word, the exhaustion that pulled on her bones and sinew every time she dragged herself out of bed. She’d explained away the headaches, the nosebleeds, the bruises, the lack of appetite. In her life, each one of those symptoms could be ascribed to any number of things.
She’s so busy.

Summary
Captain Rex, Commander Ahsoka Tano, and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi investigate Separatist activity on Vhal, a desolate fog-shrouded moon with an ancient Sith temple. When they approach, the temple comes alive and forcibly pulls them inside, sealing them within its depths. Ahsoka suffers serious injuries early on, including a head wound and badly sprained ankle, forcing Obi-Wan and Rex to carry her as they navigate the increasingly dangerous environment. The temple itself is malevolent, with shifting corridors, disturbing imagery, and chambers filled with evidence of ancient dark rituals.
As they venture deeper following the Separatists' trail, they encounter horrifying dangers including undead guardians, organic webs, and massive corrupted creatures. The trio must fight for survival while dealing with Ahsoka's mounting injuries, the temple's attempts to trap and kill them, and the overwhelming Dark Side presence that threatens to corrupt them. Their mission becomes less about stopping the Separatists and more about simply escaping alive with their minds and souls intact.
