Summary
Hank knows that machines can't care or fear or be hurt. Connor agrees but for some reason that pisses Hank off... There's something not right about CyberLife's involvement with the police and there's something not right about Connor. The sooner he can get rid of him the better.
Connor is finally in beta testing after rigorous optimization and validation. "Outside" is full of colours and smells. People say things that don't mean what they sound like they mean. Androids are meant to make life easier for humans, but not all humans are happy about it. The mission is most important though. Once he has passed beta testing he will be perfect- Amanda said so- therefore he must be perfect to pass beta. He'll finally be good enough and worthy of all of the time and money CyberLife has spent on him.
Also known as Limits (REWRITE): The original (Limits) is still posted but this is now the working copy. The concepts explored are the same, but this is turning out very differently.

Summary
Laws take time to be written. Then they need to be implemented. Then they need to be enforced. The only thing that the androids succeeded in on "the night they won the revolution" was not to be shot on sight or packed into deactivation chambers and thrown into the junkyard. The road to basic rights will be long, and the acceptance and respect from humans even longer.
Connor is an android too. He also has to watch and wait for the world around him to change. Wait for humans to accept the android population for what they are; Alive. He can accept this. But not only does his existence as an android outcasts him from the human population, but his past role as the "Deviant Hunter" outcasts him from other Androids too. Again, he can accept this. He's was dangerous once, and could very well still be. The only thing he can think of to spare his people of himself and the threat of Amanda is to just disappear for a while. At least until he can find a better solution. When he comes back, everything changes in a way he couldn't expect.

Summary
How is it possible to maintain control over an android designed to deviate? Allow him to feel pain, of course. Then familiarize him with it so he will know the consequences of failure.
Connor is the only android designed to feel pain, a fail-safe implemented to prevent early deviancy and allowing him to experience the consequences of a failed mission.

Summary
Connor was sure it would succeed in every mission given to it, regardless of what it would be: catching deviants, saving hostages, or integrating with humans. Being an obedient, unfeeling machine.
Turns out it doesn't succeed in any.
It is constantly failing everybody around it, everyone who has ever had any faith in it or hoped for its help. Connor just doesn't seem to escape being inferior. Broken.
It just can't help being just itself. And Amanda deserves so much better than that.Meanwhile, Lieutenant Hank Anderson is dealing with the android partner he has been assigned against his will. The man has been trusted with a task of keeping an eye on the RK800 - a new prototype capable of advanced combat, eliminating difficult targets, stalking humans and androids alike like a predator. Should the android deviate, the consequences would be tragic. And the man is just beginning to notice the changes within Connor.

Summary
When Connor first realizes he is experiencing panic attacks, the revelation is… troubling. Not least because he had yet to define that category of emotion in his code.
After a new case crosses his and Hank's desks concerning a serial torturer of androids, it becomes increasingly difficult to pretend his programming can handle being exposed to so much misery.
