The bodega cat with five eyes waits for him at the edge of the block, and Doyoung holds his hands out, empty palms to the neon lights.
"I don't have anything," he says apathetically. The cat has already spent three of its lives trying to guilt trip him into offering a free meal at every opportunity but Doyoung is already damned to the point where he can't be bothered to care for whatever curse the calico hisses at him every night. He's running late and Jaehyun has probably let himself into his apartment which is a worse curse of its own kind.

“By the way,” Feixiao said, “There’s a little pig in your room.” It was flopped over on a cushion in the corner, snoring.
“I got it from the Dragon Lady,” Jiaoqiu explained.
Feixiao nuzzled Jiaoqiu on the cheek, which Jiaoqiu returned, but something nagged at him. She sounded the same, and Moze let her in, but her scent… “Something’s changed about you.”
