Summary
"Things started to gain momentum near the end of shift change, in that strange pocket of time when chaos loosened its grip just enough for exhaustion to settle in. Robby leaned against the counter beside Jack, shoulder brushing shoulder and neither of them moving away.
“You busy tonight?” Robby asked lightly, eyes on the board instead of Jack.
Too light. Too casual. Too deliberate.
Jack didn’t look at him immediately. He finished signing off a chart and set the pen down carefully. Let silence stretch just long enough to make the question real. Then, calm and simple:
“I’m available.”
Robby went very still. Jack turned then, just slightly, and met his gaze.
Something flickered across Robby’s face. Surprise, relief, fear, something almost like grief, before he covered it with a crooked half smile.
“…Good,” he said quietly."
*****
Or the one where Robby tries to ruin a friendship so it would be easier to disappear, but Jack would never let that happen.

Summary
A failed airway, a successful crike, and Robby who shows up like it’s his given right to be there. Jack’s night shift ends in the trauma bay, but his real recovery begins in Robby’s snow-lit kitchen. Where warm hands, soft smiles, and a pot of his grandmother’s matzo ball soup wait for him. Jack wasn’t expecting to fall in love at half past seven in the morning, but as the soup simmers and Robby fusses in that nervous, earnest way of his, he starts to realize just how long he’s been pretending not to feel this.
A study in controlled chaos, careful hands, and the difference between saving a life and being given one.

Summary
So, despite Harrow’s warnings not to 1) talk to anybody, 2) rat out the Ninth’s business to anybody, and 3) engage with anyone at all costs, she’d taken the two towards her quarters without a second thought—maybe because Magnus had treated her the way she didn’t think anyone could, earlier when they’d sparred; with respect bordering on fear, yes, but also with the sort of gentleness she never thought was possible. And probably also because both Abigail and Magnus’ faces are growing more and more concerned by the minute, courtesy of her excellent explanation of the situation when she’d knocked on their door all still-faced; “I think Harrow is dying.”
or, after gideon finds harrow in the laboratory, she asks for abigail and magnus to help take care of her (and maaaybe learns a thing or two about love along the way . against her own will, of course).
