Summary
{Izuku’s phone rings in class. And again. A third time. Then a series of texts come through, the screen lighting up and bathing Aizawa-sensei’s annoyed glare in high contrast as he stalks down the aisle to pick up the device with a curl of capture weapon.
“Midoriya, tell them to wait,” he chides. But then Izuku takes the phone back and, even as he starts to type, another text comes through.
He throws his phone reflexively, shoulders hitching and expression oddly blank.
"Problem child, what the fuck."}
{Izuku has lived and loved and learnt the bite of flames. He knows that clutching on to the love of your most precious people has your fingertips blackening, numb, red and pink twisting freckles until they melt, and he knows that letting go isn’t an option.}
Izuku hasn't heard from his so-called father in years, and it's certainly for the better given that he was awful even when he was around. So getting incessantly called and texted by the man one day a few months after the Sports Festival? Well, it's certainly not something for him to celebrate.Quite the opposite, really.

Summary
Despite his casual air, Shouta was laser focused. He took in and processed information in a snap. Usual things, like the visual appearance of the room he was entering, but also things unique to Heroes and things unique to cats. The room had narrow dimensions, cold tile floor, pale blue walls, a bed in one corner and a dresser in the other, and no handle at all on the inside of the door. It smelled of laundry detergent and disinfectant and the faint but unmistakable scent of blood and medicine. There were boxes pushed up against the floorboards, what looked like children’s toys, dolls and stuffed animals and coloring books, all in their original, untouched packaging. There was a little girl kneeling on the bed, fear on her face and pain written in every line of her body.

this fic is soo interesting! the first part of the series was amazing as it was, but this second part has a lot more happening, in very interesting ways. some of the revelations have come about in ways i could never have predicted, which makes it even better! i can’t wait to read more of the series and see how it develops from here, there’s so many possibilities!

There were a lot of exclamations as he passed, shouts of ‘kitty!’ or gasps of ‘cute!’, but nobody tried to stop him. He was making good progress towards the police station. He was about ninety-eight percent sure that, despite his size and messed-up vision, he was still on the right track, and soon this whole fiasco would be over and Shouta could go back to tormenting his students into being better heroes.

this fic is amazing. it's not often that i start incomplete fics, yet the second i began this one it just kept spurring me on. the action scenes are written amazingly, and the way izuku expresses some of his emotions feels so realistic and powerful, in a way. all in all, this is a great fic with really good characterisations, and i can't wait to read more-especially the development of izuku and shigaraki, and the redemption that will likely follow alongside it.
