"Dickhead?" Jason asks, voice softer than Dick's ever known it to be. "Are you awake, Rip Van Winkle?"
"Mmm," Dick manages. His voice is hoarse and raspy, muffled even to his own ears with the mask pressed over his face. He wants to say something else, but all he manages is a slurred selection of incoherent syllables when he tries. Jason laughs sharply. Dick knows it's supposed to come across as aloof, but he can hear the concern hidden beneath the facade. It makes his lips twitch into a faint smile.

"Oh, you can take it," the doctor teases from above, fingers squeezing Leon's trachea gently from the outside for a moment. It makes Leon choke again, the doctor's fingers tightening in response; quickly, like he can't help the reaction. "Though, you are a lovely specimen when you're in pain."

Forced to play along with his kidnapping, Dick ended up being auctioned off to the highest bidder who just so happened to be the mysterious and terrifying Red Hood himself. Can Dick escape from the Hood? And what does he want with a civilian cop anyway? Unless somehow... he knows Dick's secret identity.
