    This light is warm and soft, leaving a haze of gentleness to the room. Tim’s eyes flick up to meet Kon’s for a second, the movement almost unconscious. Kon blinks lazily at him, and the corners of Tim’s mouth twitch up in that way that they do when he’s not biting down on his joy. Kon’s too tired to think of anything clever to say to him, so he just smiles and hopes that Tim gets the message.

    Tim tilts his head, his dark eyes laughing, and Kon’s chest tightens with affection.
