“Call an ambulance,” Follo hiccups, “Call– one, please.”
Follo returns to the North Ward on a mission after becoming a giver. He decides to pay a friend a visit, but discovers that he was too late by only a matter of hours. When he finds himself at his lowest, Zanka is there to offer a hand to hold.

A shock of red hair appeared in his field of vision. Zanka blinked and suddenly every single nerve in his body was on fire. He gasped, choking on thick blood that dribbled from the corners of his mouth. Tears welled up in the corners of his eyes and slipped down his cheeks as he scrabbled, digging his nails into the hard ground beneath, not even feeling them rip and drip blood onto the already stained ground he laid on.
“Hey, Zanka, no, no, don’t do that.” The head of red spoke softly. It was Riyo, Zanka realised. She took one of his hands in hers and squeezed tightly, brushing his hair back with her other hand. He realised, abruptly, that her hand was shaking.
“I’m dying.” He whispered, the realisation and severity of the situation hitting him all of a sudden. “Riyo… Riyo, I’m dying.”
