Summary

Isagi Yoichi always had a dream: to become the best striker in the world. So... when did it all change? When did he realize that there was no longer any point in that pathetic dream? When... did he stop enjoying the sport he had loved so much since he was a child and become an almost empty shell, with only negative feelings left in his mind?
Since joining Blue Lock, he had gone through all the stages, gradually advanced to world level and made it to the top of the world, but in the end, none of it had any meaning anymore, so he simply got tired. He left his career, his friends and his parents behind and started a new life.
However, after another workday, Isagi returned to his house and realized that it had been broken into. But it was too late. He had been killed. Killed by someone who admired him. And as the blood dripped to the ground during a meteor shower, he wished he could go back and put things right and enjoy soccer again.
So, in response to his wish, he went back in time. He had been given a second chance, and he wouldn't waste it.
He would go back to being the Isagi who loved soccer so much and, once again, he would reach the top of the world to become the best striker of all.

Isagi Yoichi came to Blue Lock to find the passion he once had for football. He wanted to feel the way he had when he was younger—ecstatic hearing the sound of the ball whooshing into the back of the net. Everything about football was normal for him now, predictable, structured and organized into his daily routine, and entirely too dull in the suburbs of his hometown. He knew that he could never be the best in the world; it was impossible for someone like him, wasn’t it? Someone who lost their love for football.
To relearn the ability to arrogantly declare that he would be the best in the world—to feel his heart pound erratically as he watched the best of the best in front of him and strive to reach their level, he accepted Ego-san’s proposal. He wanted so badly to feel that way again, but his heart faltered in front of the goal, in front of his… teammates, who he regretfully wished he could confide in like a normal player. He felt like a fraud, taking this spot from someone with more passion than him.
Ego-san promised that this program would give him a reason to play, give him his passion back, and make him realize his own selfish ego, but… what if he’s wrong?

“Close your eyes,” Isagi murmurs, and Kaiser shuts his eyes obediently, the brush cold against his skin. A moment of silence, and then, “Sorry, angle’s a little off…,” and Isagi invades his senses even further. Kaiser feels a dip in the bed beside one of his thighs, Isagi’s knee knocking into him. The hand touching his chin skims down the side of his neck to settle on his shoulder, steadying himself.
He should really remind Isagi of the time with an antagonizing quip and get him to fuck off. But Isagi looks fucking angelic leaning over him like this, and Kaiser never liked doing things halfway.

It’s so much, Kaiser thinks. Everything feels as if it’s in hyper-focus, every sense amplified to the max. Kissing Isagi feels like metavision does, he thinks, and he wonders if Isagi feels the same.
