Summary
Shane has spent the last 4 years of his life trying to get over Ilya Rozanov. He tried (and failed miserably) to date women, and after Rose forced Shane to come to terms with his sexuality, he tried to date other men. The problem with dating other men: no one knows he’s fucking gay (except his parents), and Shane Hollander can’t really walk into a gay club without everyone finding out the MLH golden boy likes men. Shane is terrified of being found out because he could lose the one thing that has made his life meaningful: hockey. The only thing Shane has ever loved more than hockey is Ilya Rozanov, but he messed everything up. Ilya tried to have a moment with Shane, but Shane decided to freak the fuck out and walk away from the only person who had made Shane feel loved.

All year Shane had been fighting the desperate creeping desires spreading inside him, hoping they would wither and die in the airless forgotten dark of his dreams and now Rozanov, the only player at camp who might've been better at hockey than Shane, with his newly-long legs and newly-long hair and his indifferent smirking gaze, was lying (maybe) hard above him, asking wildly inappropriate questions and claiming it was all normal and fine and good? Nonsense. If this was normal, Shane was missing way more social cues in his day-to-day life than he thought.

“Are–” Hollander started before gulping. “Are you sure Hunter is heading out?”
“Yes,” Ilya answered. “He will not know you are here getting fucked by Ilya Rozanov.”
Hollander rolled his eyes, but he surprised Ilya by not snarking back. Instead, Hollander pressed his hand to the back of Ilya’s head and smashed their lips together.
This kiss had more heat than any other one they’d shared before. Ilya’s tongue licked into Hollander’s mouth, and Hollander sighed. Ilya could spend all night kissing him, but he also really wanted to fuck him.
“Hollander,” he panted, “what do you want?”
Hollander stared at him in annoyance. “You know what I want.”

“No,” Ilya asserted. “I will not do anything until you tell me what you want. Until you say what you want to happen tonight.”
