He gestures at the cloak that covers Wemmbu’s body. Dirtied and frayed at the edges. He’d taken it off to fight, because the extra fabric was a weakness while he was in the air. Easy to grab onto and it made dodging stupidly hard as well. Um. Hold on.. He’s getting distracted. Egg definitely wasn’t interested in his cloak.
“Um. I actually haven’t checked, if I’m being honest,” Wemmbu confesses, wincing when Egg’s wings fluff up in what was probably not happiness.
“Brother.”

Lomedy is literally shaking, eyes wide and lips quivering as he stares up at Flame pleadingly. “No, bro! Go fight your own battles. It’s literally your turn to clean the barn. You go do it! It’s just a few spiders.” Flame ignores the fact that he would’ve been just as terrified if he saw those eight legged creatures. Lomedy was not going to make him take care of that spiderweb at all.
“I’ll give you headpats, bro!”

“I was joking! Yo— Have you never used a figure of speech in your life, bro? Are you actually tryin’ to ragebait me? I’m going to kill you, bro. Forget everything about honor.”

Because he had to defend two people instead of himself. Block shots meant for Egg instead of just letting loose like he normally did.
He scoffs. “Who says I’m gonna lose? I’m Minecraft’s Greatest Fisherman.” Egg would’ve crossed his arms, but unfortunately, they’re occupied with paddling. But he imagines doing it.
“Whatever you say, bro.”
Or, no book warns Egg that if his best friend wants to die, there is absolutely nothing he can do to stop it.

james is glaring up at him, looking like he was caught in a trap, caged down by gitae’s larger frame. “You wish.” he bites back, too occupied with escaping rather than finding a suitable retort, eyes darting around, not fearfully, but in a calculating sense.
