Being “normal” for the Dursleys yielded great results in improving his standard of living, and as he heads off to Hogwarts he still retains that impulse to keep his head down and blend in. Of course, life isn’t as simple as that, and Harry is a magnet for trouble. And what does "normal" really mean, anyway? The pure-bloods in his group of friends think he should learn more about their culture and religion if he wants to fit in.

Summary

Percy has been seeing the past and the future all his life. When he was seven and about to die, he called out to Apollo for help. Apollo brought his brand new baby prophet to his oldest living son, Lee Fletcher, to care for. From there the events of Percy Jackson and The Olympians unfold, both similar to, but also entirely different from canon. Most of the characters' ages have been changed, new backstories added and much of this stories explores the complexity of people and gods.
Prequel: ‘You’re a Demigod, Percy’ = 7yo Percy’s first few months at camp.

Summary
Harry's 5th year was probably the worst year of his life. First Voldemort happened, then Umbridge, then Voldemort AGAIN, and then Sirius died. Harry doesn't even have the time to properly mourn Sirius before he's shipped back to the Dursley's for the summer. He can't even think straight and with each passing day since losing Sirius, Harry feels more and more exhausted. By the time his 16th birthday rolls around, Uncle Vernon has to literally beat Harry just to wake him up.
After a rather brutal beating given to him by his uncle on the eve of his birthday, Harry wakes to find something he had never thought possible. He wakes up to find a long snake tail instead of his legs. A few days later, his family abandons him in some random forest.
What a wonderful way to start his 16th year of life after the worst year of his life.

Summary
Being a Parselmouth came with the inherent predisposition to understand snake behaviours and imitate them. It was relieving Harry wasn’t going to kill anyone with venom, nor petrify them with his gaze. But also, somewhat frustrating as it was all completely useless. None of the skills that came with being a Parselmouth would help Harry survive Voldemort.
It might, in fact, have the opposite effect. For all Riddle's fury that Harry was the cause of his elder self’s defeat, he was fascinated by the fact Harry was also a Parselmouth. He had grabbed Harry’s face, turning him side to side looking bemusedly enraptured by Harry’s threat display. “At your age, I was imitating much more vicious snakes than this, Harry.”
That may have been all well and good, but Harry didn’t feel very vicious. He felt very threatened and in over his head.

Summary
Harry knew he didn't put his name in the Goblet of Fire, but no one believes him, except for Hermione. Ron abandoned him when he needed him the most and everyone was out to get him for wanting fame, which he never wanted it in the first place. He was done with the wizarding world. He thought he found a place where he belonged, but it turned out the world was against him from the very start. He wanted to leave for good, but how?
Well Harry found a loophole in the Triwizard Tournament. Two actually.
1. A magical guardian can withdraw the unwilling champion.
2. A blood relative - any blood relative, even a distant relative, can take him out of the tournament if they think Harry was put there against his will.
But there is just a couple of problems; It turned out that Dumbledore is his magical guardian and he would wanted Harry to participate in the tournament, which means Dumbledore has control over everything Harry has and is keeping everything tight lip. Also there was no way the Dursley's would help him. They would likely see him die in that death tournament.
If he doesn't participate, he would loose his magic for good.

Harry is anonymous there. No one knows who he was before he joined Padfoot in Cell 12, so he is given a new name and raised by Death Eaters, trained for Dark Magic and maybe a little crazier than he ought to be.
He knows only the stone walls and the cold until Minerva McGonagall stumbles into Dumbledore's office holding a first-year's letter addressed to the wizarding prison, and he is brought from its stone depths to attend Hogwarts.
He is not the Martyr Dumbledore wanted, and he is not the Savior the Wizarding World asked for.

Harry lunged for the photo, his bloodied nose dripping crimson onto the paper as he scrambled for something to write with. But Vernon had locked away all of Harry’s things to prevent him from contacting anyone. In desperation, Harry smeared his blood across the photo with trembling fingers, scrawling three words:
Please help me.
He signed it with a shaky, almost illegible ‘Harry’ before stumbling to Hedwig’s cage. He flung the door open and shoved the photo into her talons, his breath coming in sharp, uneven gasps. Vernon’s angry bellows grew louder as he forced the door open, splinters of wood flying into the room.
“T-take it to Professor Snape!” Harry rasped, barely able to speak through the panic and exhaustion.
Hedwig let out a distressed hoot as Harry squeezed her through the narrow bars of the window. He turned just as Vernon burst into the room, his face purple with fury, his breathing ragged.
