(Inspired by the Fantasy AU and light novels set in Medieval/Renaissance-esque settings)
Ochako was living her days simply and uneventfully as a maid, struggling to contain her desperate longings for something more out of her life. That was, until a rude stranger dropped from the sky one morning, shattering her already feeble hold on keeping her dreams and desires locked up. Meeting him again by chance in the Capital ends up taking her on an unexpected adventure, traveling to far-off realms with him and his childhood friend, the reincarnation of the Great Warrior.
Magic was real, and they must save the world by sealing it back up to prevent its corruption. The challenges of the quest may inspire her to embrace the person she was always meant to be, but can she also embrace whatever feelings were blooming in her for the rude stranger?

Shane lifts one eyelid again to look at Rozanov. His eyes are red-rimmed. Like he’s been crying. “Why…why aren’t you in Boston?”
Rozanov’s brow furrows. “Why would I be in Boston?”
“You, you’re captain. Raiders. Boston.”
The room is silent except for the beeping of monitors.
In 2023, Shane takes a bad hit on the ice. When he wakes up, the last thing he remembers is a tuna melt.
There’s a lot to get used to.

Ilya was only a few strides behind Shane on the ice.
He clocked the angle before the hit even landed; Marlow coming in too hot, too fast, shoulder high. Shane turned and slowed at the wrong moment, skates clipping, balance gone.
Impact.
The sound carried oddly through the arena, duller than boards, sharper than ice. Shane went down hard, helmet skidding, body twisting. And then it all happened at once. Skates tangled. Marlow stumbled over him as he fell, too. A skate’s blade flashed too close, too sharp.

Shane's injuries during the Boston/Montreal game are much more life-threatening than in canon. Ilya's quick thinking and bone-deep instincts are the only reason he survives.
