“Of course I’m not scared to talk to you,” Tommy says confidently. Instead of anything involving wisdom, he proceeds to dive headfirst into a shitty elaboration. “I mean— not in a you scare me way. Like, you’re just… Techno. I could talk to you anytime. I mean— well. You get what I mean.”
A pause that tears him up inside, as most seem to, and then Techno finally answers: “Nah, I don’t think I do.”
or: Tommy is used to asking Wilbur for help when he needs it, and if he's feeling down, Wilbur always understands perfectly. Technoblade, though... Technoblade is a whole different story.

Summary
Tommy snorts to himself and pulls the blanket around himself tighter. He's probably going to fall asleep here, at the empty dining room table, warm and smelling spices and hearing the Larks Ascension. He'll be woken gently by Phil, as Technoblade and Wilbur continue bantering back and forth while making plates. They'll have dinner together, and then migrate over to the living room where Techno will play his composers on the television, and they'll all sit on the carpet and put together Wilbur's giant globe puzzle for the seventh time.
Tommy is with family, and this is his every day. Love, love, and more love.

The sky is dark. The wind cuts through Tommy’s clothes and bites at their skin. Thick, drifting clouds fracture the moonlight into thin slivers; muted light bounces off the snow-blanketed rooftops where the streetlamp glow doesn’t reach. The pinpricks of light that the stars dust across against the night sky are ignored as Tommy stares ahead at the pavement, continuing to force one leg in front of the other.

He's always praised for how mature and responsible he is. He stays on top of his school work, schedules all the necessary parts for his vlogs, writes out the story for one of the fastest growing servers, deals with literally ten million eyes on him- needless to say, he's got the world in his hands and he's handling it brilliantly!
Okay, well..."brilliantly" might not be the right word. Not when he's crying on his kitchen floor.or
Tommy's struggling, but sometimes all it takes is a friend to help. Wilbur's that friend.

In his bones, the ache of loneliness has set in. Worse than that, the seatbelt digs into his ribs and one of his arms is twisted uncomfortably. Broken, maybe. The ship has realigned, and he can hear the dinging warning of oxygen leaks and damage, flashing red lights, but he lets his head drop to his chest. He closes his eyes.
Tommy is alone.
Floating in the middle of space as his water supply runs out is the last place that Tommy wants to be, but he's resigned to the fact that it might be his fate. That is, until a ship finally picks up on his transmissions...
