Art was right, Patrick turned out to be the best friend he ever had. He had friends before, obviously, but never any like Patrick. His old friends would never have hugged him after a match, or sometimes used his toothbrush when they didn't find theirs, he would have found that weird. But with Patrick, it was only natural. He wasn’t stupid, he saw how the other boys looked at them ; he saw how they could find it weird that the two boys would prefer each other’s company over everyone else’s at school. He saw how none of the other boys were as worried when their friend was in the infirmary as he was for Patrick, and he saw how none of them left their dorm wearing their roommate’s clothes like Patrick did with his. He thought they just didn’t understand because they didn’t get as lucky as him to have someone like Patrick as their friend.

“No, I do really, I just don’t get… Why me?” He asks and swallows as he lets the sentence leave his lips, if he doesn’t hold his tongue, things he doesn’t want out could make their way out.
“It feels safe,” Mike says simply, and Will’s stomach warms up, he's so scewed.
A.k.a Mike gets teased for sucking at kissing, Will laughts at him, and then regrets it when Mike suggests practicing together.

Will laughs way too nonchalantly. “Yeah, like the Russian version of Micheal. Isn’t that funny?”
Mike can think of a lot of words to describe this whole situation—insane is one—but funny is definitely not. What the fuck?
“So you guys are telling me that there’re going to be Russians staying at your house, one of whom has stolen my name? And that’s totally fine and normal?” Mike thinks maybe he might be acting a tad dramatic. But that’s never stopped him before.
