Chapter Text
The first time Aizawa sat in the front of the classroom facing Midoriya, Bakugou, and Shinsou after eight years was weird. Really weird. It was like déjà vu in some ways and completely new in other ways.
First, they weren’t teenagers anymore; all were in their mid-twenties. They had changed a lot over the years, even in the way they sat in the chairs: confident in themselves, their bodies, and as pro-heroes. They may have changed since they attended UA but it wasn’t like Aizawa didn’t know what they looked like.
Midoriya and Bakugou were marketing darlings. Both were hugely successful in their careers and rated in the top ten—though Aizawa couldn’t say for sure who was ranked above the other at the very moment. More than anything, both were loved by the public. This led to both Midoriya and Bakugou securing paid endorsements too.
The latest ones Aizawa saw was a deodorant brand for the explosive pro-hero—it would kill odors without hesitation: Die! Die! Die!—and motor oil for Midoriya. The tagline for the latter was something about ensuring your car would always be there for you just like the pro-hero. With his non-intimidating yet assured pose and reassuring warm smile, Midoriya sold the premise that the can of oil he was holding would truly save people’s lives over and over just like he did.
Aizawa was pleased that both of his former students had branded themselves well enough that they were able to secure lucrative marketing campaigns. It was impressive all they had accomplished.
As an underground hero, Shinsou was just as accomplished, he just didn’t get the accolades or opportunities for extra income like the other two.
Unlike the other two, Aizawa and Shinsou had kept in contact after graduation. When Shinsou first graduated, they used to talk more often as Aizawa continued to provide mentorship when solicited. As the years passed, Shinsou needed to reach out less and less for guidance. The talks transitioned into peer-based interactions with meetups at a cat café here and there just to catch up.
Because of these talks, Aizawa knew Shinsou and Bakugou were roommates. Monetarily speaking, Bakugou didn’t need a roommate but he liked having someone there, even if Shinsou was gone a lot. Guess Bakugou liked the break when Shinsou was gone but he liked it more when his roommate was home. Shinsou had shared with Aizawa that he had come to appreciate living with Bakugou. Turns out Bakugou was a great cook. He not only shared what he made, he’d almost force feed Shinsou if he refused. Plus, Shinsou mentioned that there was something about not having to come home to an empty house after a long underground mission.
Aizawa understood. For too many years, he knew that feeling. Sometimes it still took him off guard when he would look across the couch and see someone there smiling back. And he and Tensei had been dating for almost three years.
The two had met at the five-year class gathering for 3-A students which had been extended to their closest family and friends. Midoriya was the one that put it together and Aizawa had been invited. He had been content to sit back and watch the party unfold. Tenya had brought his older brother but was pulled away quickly for a barrage of pictures with his former classmates.
Tensei made his way over to the wall and the two started chatting. When Aizawa found himself being easily caught up in the conversation—which was not common at all—he had discreetly checked out Tensei only to discover he was being eye fucked—not discreetly in the slightest.
Tensei and Aizawa had fucked that night in the teacher’s lounge and had just managed to get dressed when Todoroki and Sero showed up. The two were clearly drunk and ready to act out some school-based fantasy until they saw Aizawa standing there. The look on their faces were almost comical. Aizawa could’ve been an ass and messed with them but was still in a post-organismic blissful state so he sent them all their way.
Aizawa never did get into any of the drama that always popped up while they were still students at UA. But if Aizawa would have had to guess, he thought Midoriya and Todoroki would’ve ended up dating. That night, Todoroki’s giggling and nonstop noisy kissing with Sero—that sounded undeniably like inexperienced smacking—clearly showed Aizawa that he knew nothing. As far as he was aware, Midoriya lived alone. Nonetheless, Midoriya was definitely the glue that kept the class together as he constantly arranged events and meetups in one shape or form.
The reason Aizawa was sitting in a classroom again with Midoriya, Bakugou, and Shinsou was because of the Hero Commission and UA Principal Nezu. About six years prior, the Hero Commission had made it a requirement that all pro-heroes had to complete certain courses to earn continuing education units (CEUs) to maintain their license. It wasn’t much, maybe a handful of classes every three years. Apparently, their deadline was coming up and the three were cramming in some classes.
It led them to take a course intensive called Quirk Mitigation which covered quirks commonly encountered in the field as well as some of the more dangerous ones. Because it ran shorter than a normal course, the class met for two hours a day, five days a week. The selling point was that it could completed within six weeks.
UA Principal Nezu normally taught the course. However, he had been asked to be an advisor on a highly classified project and in turn, had asked if Aizawa could take over this one time.
Aizawa hadn’t expected his three former students but teaching the class wasn’t bad. Actually, Aizawa found himself enjoying it. Midoriya knew more on some of the subjects than he did and it made a great engaging discussion. As an underground hero, Shinsou provided a perspective that most pro-heroes would never see or understand. Bakugou and Midoriya were lucky to be privy to it and would be better for it.
It was clear that Bakugou wasn’t just taking the class to check some boxes on a form for his license. In the past, the blond tackled everything like it had to be mastered to the highest level so that he could become a better hero. This class was no exception showing that some things never change. While Shinsou would look like he was to fall asleep, Bakugou’s eyes would flash with burning intensity throughout the entire class period.
Tensei had teased Aizawa when he learned that Bakugou was in their class. All because, one time, Tensei had flashed his phone to Aizawa to show a picture of Bakugou that he had posted to his social media. It was framed strategically and Bakugou looked like he was completely naked. The caption had read: who wants to help me do a body check. It was a skin cancer awareness campaign that Bakugou was doing as part of community outreach.
It had taken Aizawa off-guard. Bakugou was definitely all grown up. He looked hot as shit with his chiseled muscles that still looked soft and pliable, angular face, and of course, his small waist. His fuck-you-up eyes hadn’t looked intimidating, they had looked inviting.
When Aizawa saw it, he had blushed. And Aizawa never blushed. Tensei had laughed so hard at his reaction which of course, meant Aizawa had to pin his boyfriend down. He hadn’t expected Tensei to admit that he thought Bakugou was extremely fuckable too and it was playfully agreed upon: Bakugou was on their freebie list for both of them.
Luckily, the classroom environment and serious quirk discussions kept any type of silly lustful appreciation for Bakugou tucked way down. Though Tensei still teased Aizawa each night when he’d arrive home. Tensei was the only one that could get away with teasing Aizawa because he did it while Aizawa’s head was in his lap and he ran his fingers through the long dark strands. Tensei could probably get away with almost anything when he was doing that.
It was only six weeks regardless. One subject matter was covered each week. The first three weeks were broader and then the last three weeks zoned in three categories of quirks that were the most problematic or dangerous in the field.
The syllabus was:
Week 1 The Basic Elements
Week 2 Animal-Based
Week 3 Cognitive
Week 4 Quirks Sexual in Nature
Week 5 Disorientation & Imagery
Week 6 Instantaneous Injury/Death
Principal Nezu provided Aizawa with each week’s outlines, notes, and instructions on how to execute the hands-on practicums. Nezu had checked out who had registered and prepackaged the supplies needed for each week. This made the course prep time for Aizawa fairly minimal.
Each week, half of the class time was spent on lecture and then the other hour was the hands-on practicum portion. At the end of each week, an exam on that week’s targeted quirk was given.
The first week, the focus was on water and fire. Midoriya provided a lot of specific examples using Todoroki. The second week on animal-based quirks was pretty straightforward. They discussed not only how to counter those with animal-based quirks but the stigma around them as well. Having former classmates with animal-based quirks allowed them to move beyond discussing them on the surface level.
The third week, which focused on cognition-based quirks, is when things got really fun. Aizawa was impressed as he realized that Shinsou no longer had a complex about his quirk and the potential linkage to villainy. Izuku still geeked out about everything and the amount that he knew was pretty damn impressive.
The practicum that week was more intense as they were ‘hit’ with a quirk that reversed knowledge. They all passed but it had been challenging. It was never a given that they’d automatically pass each week.
Now it was the Sunday before the first day of week four, Quirks Sexual in Nature. Like sex pollen and lust quirks. Or for those in the field, the SiN quirks. While Aizawa wasn’t any more or less excited about the subject matter, he knew the learning objectives for the week were crucial.
The probability of being hit with a quirk sexual in nature or a SiN quirk was high. Aizawa had been hit a couple of times himself, plus he had been called in to help someone he was an EIC for. EICs were emergency intimacy contacts who were called in when inflicted by a SiN quirk.
Not required by the Hero Commission, but recommended, was a form that listed three EICs that each pro-hero would keep on them. If a EIC list wasn’t available, the pro-hero under the SiN quirk influence was secured alone in a padded room and treated clinically as needed. Horror stories were passed around about how truly awful it was so most pro-heroes carried around their EIC list.
A key take-away of this class was to consider and create an EIC list. Order mattered too. Being first on someone’s list meant that at some point you would be called in to help the inflicted weather the fallout of the SiN quirk. Really, the first person on the EIC list could be called pretty regularly. Sometimes EIC-2s were called but rarely did EIC-3 have to respond. Nobody Aizawa knew had ever needed the third person but it was still on there.
Aizawa’s EIC-1 was Tensie of course. The second was Present Mic, his EIC-2.
Endeavor was third on the list, his EIC-3. The flaming hero had approached him almost a decade ago for them to be each other’s thirds. Enji said Hawks was his first and would be able to get to him easily so Aizawa probably wouldn’t ever be contacted. He was right, neither had been called for the other. Aizawa couldn’t lie though; Enji looked like he could break him in the most possible best way. When he and Enji had a frank conversation on what was acceptable or not, he found that he switched too. If it weren't for the seriousness of SIN quirks, Aizawa wouldn't mind if his EIC-3 had to be called in.
Aizawa did have an issue though. Present Mic was getting married to Midnight in a couple of months and he and Mic were no longer going to be each other’s EIC-2s. Midnight was surprisingly possessive. Well, if she’s wasn’t involved and that wasn’t of interest to Aizawa. Not to mention, if she was able to be there, Aizawa didn’t need to be. Overall, it had been a fairly awkward conversation with the bottom line being that Aizawa needed a new EIC-2. The class required the creation of an EIC list and it was time for Aizawa to go ahead and update his too.
Besides the creation of an EIC list, the class would cover the four types of SiN quirks. The first was the one-and-done. The SiN quirk’s symptoms were mild and the treatment was as simple: one orgasm. One mild-blowing orgasm fueled by the SiN quirk’s aphrodisiac-based effects.
Some clubs in the city employed those that possessed this quirk as many people would pay to be hit with the one-and-done. The joke was that everyone wanted this but it wasn’t as common to be hit with that one when working out in the field.
The second type of SiN quirk pertained to frequency and required a certain number of orgasms. Treatment could be done alone if the number was low—though it was always easier with your EIC. Typically, three to five orgasms were needed to release the SiN quirk’s toxins.
Dealing with a duration-based SiN quirk was always challenging because unless you knew the specificity of the villain’s quirk, the length of time that the SiN toxins would be in your system was unknown. To eliminate build-up and negative physical outcomes, the inflicted had to orgasm regularly. This SiN quirk was associated with becoming incoherent and increased temperature, often at dangerous levels.
The duration-based SiN quirk wasn’t just tough to address on your own, it could be life-threatening. If the temperature aspect wasn’t managed, the inflicted became incapable of doing anything—even reaching out for help. The average length for a duration-based SiN quirk was six hours. It had been decades since a pro-hero tried to address a duration SiN quirk on their own and had died. After that, SiN quirks were taken a lot more serious. There was a little less ha-ha and a lot more help-you-get-through-it.
The fourth SiN quirk was the most serious and referred to as the triple-x or XXX. It was given that name because of its deadly trifecta. First there was standard physical component. There was also a mental component. The most serious aspect of it was the limited time frame. These were the most dangerous because orgasms alone would never resolve the SiN quirk’s effects and what additional aspect was required was rarely ever known.
The XXX was uncomfortable, panic-inducing, and deadly. Pro-heroes had more knowledge and resources available to them so unfortunately, it was usually citizens who ended up being harmed thinking that it was a frequency or duration-based SiN quirk.
Having to talk about the four types was going to be uncomfortable Aizawa suspected but he applauded Nezu for including SiN quirks in the curriculum rather than skimming over the seriousness of them.
Aizawa had loosely reviewed week four's class instructions for the students. They were supposed to do some prep before coming to class on Monday. He had seen a couple of sentences about the pre-class requirements but hadn’t really looked at it closely.
Now, minutes before the class started, Aizawa was reading things a little closer rather than skimming. He realized the male students were supposed to anally douche before coming to class.
Aizawa’s stomach dropped. He felt a bit of sweat on his upper lip as he opened up one of the bags that he needed to hand out to his students to be used for the practicum. In the bag was a dildo, a cock cage, a black mechanical-looking bracelet, lube, and some wipes.
His stomach officially dropped to his feet. He was really going to have to hand those bags out. To Midoriya, Bakugou and Shinsou...
Over the past three weeks, he and the other three had spent day after day around each other. It had created a comforting familiarity that encourage candidness and even vulnerable conversations regarding quirk mitigation challenges faced in the field.
But there was absolutely no way that this week wasn’t going to be hell.
