Summary:
All Ella has ever known is Aleksander. Fostered by her parents when she was 7, she can't remember a time where her whole universe didn't revolve around him. Which suited her fine. Except... at almost 18, Ella might be ready to expand her universe a bit more. She just has to gather the courage to tell Aleksander. But he loves her, and wants her to be happy. So why is she dreading it so much?

Hello! Welcome to my first time posting a story. I wanted to delve more into the sort of relationships I have always been intrigued about.
What happens to people when every aspect of who they are feels defined by someone else. Especially if that person happens to be extremely adept at manipulating them to feel completely dependent on them.
I wanted to go deeper and darker into a codependent relationship with someone who is very intelligent and calculated in the way they exert their control. I was very inspired by Dare from Sam Mariano's Even if it Hurts and Caleb from If I Can't Have You by DeathsDoll for this story. I hope you like it!
