Chapter Text
Eunji was nestled in Bai's arms, her head on his chest, her body in that space between sleep and wakefulness, when she felt the mattress dipping. She lifted her head, blinking sleepily as she found Bo pulling himself onto the bed with them. "Good morning, kkoma." Eunji murmured, holding her arm out to welcome her pup. Bo smiled brightly and crawled in between Eunji and Bai's bodies, wiggling to get comfortable and kicking Bai awake in the process. "Happy birthday, my little puppy." Eunji peppered Bo's face in kisses until the now three-year-old was giggling.
Bo nuzzled happily against Eunji, his feet still kicking against Bai and earning quiet groans from the 28-year-old alpha. "When Halabeoji and Halmeoni coming?"
"I think when Jia goes down for her morning nap." Eunji said. "They're going to come help decorate for your party."
An excited giggle escaped the three-year-old. "And nǎinai and yéye?"
Eunji reached out to pinch Bai's nipple to make sure he hadn't fallen back asleep. "Ow!" Bai looked at her in bewilderment while rubbing his nipple.
"What time are your parents gonna be here?" Eunji asked.
"I don't know." Bai rubbed his eyes. "Between 10:30 and 11:00. They said they were going to help prepare the food."
"So a little after Halmeoni and Halabeoji get here." Eunji informed Bo, pressing a kiss to the three-year old's forehead. Then she turned her attention back to Bai. "Speaking of food, you need to go to the store to make sure we have plenty of hot dogs and fixins'."
"Why do I have to go?" Bai asked.
"Because whenever I go to the store, you always complain that I come back with 20 things that weren't on the list." Eunji said.
"You do always come back with 20 things that aren't on the list." Bai deadpanned.
Eunji shrugged. "I run a daycare. Sometimes I see things the pups will like and have to get it."
"And that's why you have the best daycare in Morrilton." Bai said, leaning over to press his lips to Eunji's, much to Bo's amusement as the three-year-old giggled.
Eunji pulled out of the kiss at a moment and started trying to push Bai out of the bed. "Go."
"Why do I have to go now?" Bai asked.
"Because if you don't then you'll get stuck in the post pack meeting rush of people getting last minute stuff for their Sunday lunches." Eunji pointed out.
Bai sighed dramatically. "I'll go as soon as Jia wakes up and I've gotten my morning cuddles with her."
As if on cue, they heard Jia screaming for Bai at the top of her lungs. "Bababababababa!"
"I'm coming xiǎo gōng zhǔ!" Bai called out as he climbed out of bed.
Eunji continued to cuddle and scent Bo, holding the three-year-old close, until Bai returned to their room with Jia propped on his hip. "Let's get in on these family snuggles, xiǎo gōng zhǔ." Bai pressed a kiss to the 14-month old's cheek before climbing back into bed with her.
Jia was content to cuddle with Bai for a moment before pushing away from him to instead tug at Eunji's shirt, making it clear she was ready to nurse. "Walmart time." Eunji said as she unbuttoned her pajama shirt until her breast was free for Jia to latch onto.
"Fine." Bai groaned dramatically as he climbed back out of bed and grabbed a discarded hoodie to tug over his head.
"I wanna go!" Bo exclaimed, pushing himself to his feet and bouncing to the end of the bed where he proceeded to jump off for his dad to catch him. "Let's go, Baba!"
"No special treats just yet since we're having plenty of them at the party." Eunji said and Bai sent her a thumbs up as he carried Bo out of the room.
A few hours later, Eunji and her mom were setting up the Hot Diggity Dog Bar they were doing to provide lunch for the party guests while her dad and brother kept the older pups entertained and Bai and his parents grilled the hot dogs. "He's growing so fast." Her mom mused as he glanced over his shoulder to watch the three-year-old playing with the t-ball set they'd gotten him for Christmas and that he'd been obsessed with since. "Isn't that t-ball league you signed him up for starting soon?"
Eunji nodded. "The season starts in two weeks. We're supposed to get our team placements and schedules this week."
"He's gonna have so much fun doing that." Her mom said.
"His favorite part is gonna be all of us there watching him and cheering for him." Eunji said.
"Huh, wonder where he got that from." Her mom teasingly bumped his hip against hers before walking over to the grill to get the plate of finished hot dogs to add to the bar.
