So apparently Minato had been dead for eight years. That was startling considering he'd just been fighting the Nine-Tails. But now he was alive, again, and he was on a warpath. Where were his children? Were Mariko and Naruto safe? Happy? Well cared for? Who was raising them?
Minato needed to find them. Now.

"Dad?"
The voice that whispered the single word was quiet, shocked, and heartbroken. Minato shouldn't have heard it over the ringing in his ears and the noise of the villagers around him. But he did. That was Mariko. That was his daughter.
Minato spun around. He saw her.
She'd changed, aged, and was a ninja of the village. But it was still Mariko, still his sweet, perfect little girl. She had tears in her eyes and stood with her Genin team, hands shaking.
