Summary
There are many reasons she kills Chiaki Nanami. She resisted her, and such a person walking around makes her look weak, her ideology look weak. Ideology that even now, Junko clings to. She was a threat, to both said ideology and to her operation on a whole, and too much of one to be ignored. She was the last thing holding her classmates back, and now without her, they despair. But maybe the truth is, Chiaki Nanami just pissed Junko off.
Kokichi Ouma is not like that.
For one thing, he is not beloved. He does not symbolize hope, is not seen as it. For another thing, he's nowhere near as naive as Chiaki. The moment he sees her, he is suspicious—the moment she lies, he hates. He lies, he distrusts, he poisons. Where Chiaki uplifted her classmates, he tears them down.
And yet, here Kokichi Ouma is, staring up at her defiantly and saying the same words Chiaki Nanami said.
Two sacrifices, and two classes in despair.

Summary
The theory behind it went something like this: remove the traumatic memories, and replace them with happy ones, simulated in a world without danger. Their real bodies safe in the real world, hooked up to pods and asleep, when their simulated selves frolic about not knowing they're made from code.
Yeah, great. Except anyone with basic knowledge of repressed memories knows that just because you forget a trauma, doesn't mean the effects of it go away.
The whole thing was transparent: it wasn't to help anyone heal, but to alter problematic people and their personalities.
Hence: cult members.
The V3 killing game in a world where the cast are Remnants of Despair—all of them, that is, except Kokichi Ouma, an AI made by Hajime Hinata with a dead boy's name from the coded-corpse of Chiaki Nanami.
These classmates have already killed him once, he knows. Will they do so again?

Summary
He was crying.
The butterfly was so pretty. He just wanted to hold it, touch it, look at it. It was so cute, and Gonta wanted to admire it. But now it's wing was torn, broken and unusable. He cried, and cried, and cried.
"Why are you crying?" His mother demanded. "It's just a bug."
"It, it, Gonta hurt it, he didn't mean to, he—he hurt it—" Gonta couldn't talk through his sobs.
"You did," Mother said. Her red dress was shimmering in the evening light. "You hurt it, but that's in the past. Just kill it to put it out of its misery, Gonta."
"K-Kill it? B-But, but…"
"True gentlemen don't cry like this." Mother sighs. "It's easy. It's just a bug."
"Gonta like bugs," Gonta blubbers.
"That's all the more reason to kill it. You don't want it to suffer, do you?"
"Gonta doesn't want it to die!"
"All things die. It's natural." Mothers hands came to cup Gonta's, as she knelt down. "Like this," she instructed, raising their hands up together.
Gonta flinches before it even happens, shutting his eyes tightly. It's wet. Gooey, and sticking to his hand. He's smushed it. He starts crying harder.
"Honestly," his mother says. "It's just a bug, Gonta."

“You know. You remind me of someone.”
And when she frowned, it was as if the cosmos were crying. That girl like starlight, like magic, frowning small and troubled on her pouting, red lips. (Like raw meat, like rare steak- like what she eats, blood on her teeth-)
“Who?” And Himiko blinked. Just blinked. Junko wasn't looking at her. She smiled.
“Did I ever tell you I used to have red hair?”
Another blink. She felt so stupid. “Really?”
“Yeeeep.” Her eyes finally (finally, finally-) flick towards her. “My sister, too. She had to dye it black for her mercenary group or whatevs.” She made a popping sound with her mouth, a noise of irritation. “Laaame.”
“Is that who I remind you of?” Himiko asked with her own irritation. “Ikusaba?”
Junko blinked, this time. Surprised. Huh. Then- she smiled.
“No.”
That was all she said.
