    Summary

Merlin really didn’t understand why Arthur kept assigning him more guards. He was Camelot’s Court Sorcerer and, oh you know, the strongest warlock to ever live. He really didn’t need the protection, but his stupid overly protective husband just refused to see reason. Though maybe all the trouble Merlin got into every time he left the castle wasn’t helping his argument.

Or the 5 times Arthur adds a new guard to Merlin’s protection detail and the 1 time Merlin does something about it!

    Summary

He'd never made a mistake in front of a superior, rarely took ill, is never late, and always, always, acting in the best interest of Camelot.

    Until today.

Leon hadn't meant to bash Merlin over the head and run off into the woods with him, honest! It just sort of... happened.

(or, Merlin and Leon are bonded by their shared, holy devotion to King Arthur. But when Merlin must reveal his magic during a fight, the rule-abiding knight panics and kidnaps Merlin to protect him from the pyre.)

There's a little purple mark peering out just above the line of Merlin’s neckerchief.

    Arthur is staring at it.

    Summary

Merlin is mentally Ill. This is his... journey? Start to finish of... healing? That's the word I want to use. He gets better in the end. Please remember mental illness wasn't really acknowledged in this era. They didn't have a word for depression or a diagnosis like nowadays, but people felt that common ground of low mood, they would have somewhat known it existed.
