    Summary

“Make it hurt, then. Kiss me like you want to kill me.”

    “I can do that.”

Two broken stars in a decaying orbit, passing closer and closer together until the inevitable, devastating collision.

Or, Tav is fucked up and down bad for Astarion, who doesn't quite see the appeal (but he's getting there). Sexual frustration, sloppy handjobs, a heavy dose of masochism, and way too many failed Insight checks ahead. Tav falls first, Astarion falls harder (eventually).

Or, a tragic-but-hopeful romance told through a series of incredibly ill-advised sexual encounters.

If you want to read a story where Astarion is sweet from the start and Tav is here to fix him, this isn't the one. If you want to read about two terribly broken men spending a good long while making each other worse before they make each other better, this might be for you. If you thought the in-game romance was a little too easy and it should have been ten times more painful and difficult to convince Astarion he's worthy of love, this is definitely for you.

Set during the canonical events of Baldur's Gate 3.

    Summary

“He was so eager to do anything to gain forgiveness. So desperate. And at the same time so dispendable. I knew the feeling well. He was enslaved. Groomed. Used. My master at least gave me the dignity to not pretend to love me. To not make me believe that this was normal. I loved him then. Gale. And I knew that there wasn’t space for anyone but Mystra. Anything but that strive for power for something to set him free and give him dignity.”

Nothing survived ascencion. Not quite as it had been. No guilt, certainly. No shame. Not the pain and scars and fears, Cazador had instilled in him for two centuries.
But something was there and it did not feel like an echo or a warped memory. It felt evolved. It felt like something that had grown teeth.

“I think” Astarion said and it was in a whisper, because all secrets should be whispered, “I love him still.”
