“We broke up. I moved on~” Lewis couldn’t bring himself to even say the German’s name, the syllables too painful. “You should too.” He jogged up the stairs of his motorhome, Nico still noticeably following him. Lewis hadn’t moved on; he’d tried so many times. But something stopped him every time. They weren’t Nico.

Miami had been fun.
Well fun until race had ten laps to go. George couldn’t explain it, one minute he was driving around right as rain and the next it felt like someone was pulling his organs out. He couldn’t help but wince and curse as the pain pulsated through him. He hoped it wasn’t his appendix. George hoped he could carry on. P3 would be good, good enough. Another twist of the car brought pained tears to his eyes.

It all came crashing down around him, or more specifically, he slammed into Oscar’s car on the first lap causing McLaren’s entire weekend to come crashing down. The disappointed looks from his entire team made his stomach curdle. But nothing could ever compare to the pained look Oscar threw in his direction. Lando wanted to rush over, apologise, tell him he didn’t mean it. But he couldn’t. He meant it.

Summary
Logan loved being a detective. He loved problem solving, loved figuring out the who, what, when, where, and why of a case…he just loved it. When he was in the police academy, he had always been told he would make a good detective one day, so when he was finally promoted to the CID in his department, he was over the moon. Of course, being the newbie that he was, he got stuck with the grunt work and cases the others didn’t want to work on, mainly a case that had stumped almost every detective that had come through the CID. Honestly, in his opinion, it wasn’t even a hard one, pretty cut and dry, it was just that the suspect was a slippery motherfucker who never got caught. At least not yet.
