Summary
After the events of the Starcourt Mall, Will and the others have been relatively free from any activities of the Mind Flayer. They have believed the whole situation to be over, and have now gotten used to the religious rigidness of the community. However, Will hasn’t felt like himself. He still feels the Mind Flayer, his connection to the hive mind, every now and then. He has chosen to not bring it up, as it seems like a non-issue and he doesn’t want to cause needless worry. For a while, things were fine. Will kept quiet about the way he was feeling and no one seemed to pay too much attention to the way he would act differently at times. Recently, however, the religious psychosis of the community has worsened, and so has Will.
This takes place during the 18 months post season 4 in which the Byers family stayed at the Wheeler’s. This is basically me projecting my religious trauma onto Will and my internalized homophobia onto Mike. Enjoy? LMAO
