Summary
Every year of headache-inducing brats brings a new set of challenges, and Shouta is well aware of this. This year is no different - he’s got Tensei’s younger brother who is practically his pseudo-nephew, a foster kid with a mental quirk who outright refuses to speak during class, and somehow he pulled the short straw to receive Endeavor’s youngest son.
It quickly becomes apparent, however, that even these class highlights will not be the priority focus in avoiding disasters this year. They’re only a week in when the kid he placed in Seat 17 brutally attacks a classmate from 1B, landing the other kid in the hospital and refusing to provide any semblance of explanation to the staff.

I cried honestly, I dont do that with fics, I spent the whole night reading this. Its actually very well written, the symbolism and foreshadowing is very good, I'm also not a big fan of BakuDeku, im really happy personally that this is them being best friends! Bakugou (not so) subtley leading Shinsou and Todoroki to solace which is Mic and Eraser is beautiful. Izuku's intelligence shining into letters like premonition is so cool, it reminds me of Norman from The Promised Neverland. 10000/10, its well structured and an overall Rollercoaster read.

He was still being treated terribly, almost nobody trusted him, and his lifelong friend Wormwood had abandoned him. He's been trying to hold it together for so long, but he had to break some time. Even worse, King Roland is the one trying to guide him through his intense emotions when all Cedric wanted to do was scream at him. This day just couldn't get any worse.

At 20, he understood what it meant to be a teacher and he learned that no amount of re-reading could change how abysmally low the rate of survival for genin who didn’t retain everything they had been taught.
At 21, he met Naruto Uzumaki.
At 21… Iruka Umino finally understood why his parents could throw away everything so easily. He understood, because he was looking at Naruto clutching his stomach hungrily as bruises littered whatever his baggy clothes didn’t. Grabby hands beckoning for his help even in fitful sleep the way a baby would beg for it’s mother’s comfort, whimpers that quieted themselves like a child who no longer believed they’d be heard by anyone helpful.

This encapsulates my feelings on the hidden leaf to a T, and THE ART IS SO GOODD, the story is well paced and written for only 3 chapters and is the perfect mix of fluff and some angst. 10/10
