Wind blew past him as he fell. It caressed his purple locks in the only violent nature he knew he'd endure again and again willingly. Wemmbu gazed at the skies painted in orange
(flaming)hues, for an entire second forgetting that he was pushed off...By the person he thought he could trust and turn his back to. Suddenly everything felt...
So far away.
It matters not. Not anymore even if it's a betrayal Wemmbu experiences yet another time. He felt tired. Bone deep exhausted. Perhaps that was the reason for Flame's next blows to be not as strong as usual.
In the end it doesn't really change anything. Wemmbu still feels that hollow exhaustion by the time he admits defeat, by the time he gives up his title of 'the strongest' and Lettuce comes to collect him. For some reason the idea of execution doesn't sound as bad as it did before.
Maybe he could even rest a bit. Or see Rejoice.
Or: Wemmbu is tired. Flame... for some godforsaken reason... Cannot just not care.
Set after/during his Prison arc and some crumbs of the invis arc.

Something hooks under his arms, and the sudden stop in motion sends sharp pain lancing through his neck and body. It doesn’t take him long to understand that Regect is holding him in the air. Flying. But not moving. He holds his breath, slowly craning his head up to look at the other. For just a moment, he swears he sees a single golden eye staring back at him.
(aka a slow burn between a guy who just wants to play his game and a guy who just wants to do his job (as seen through several different scenes))

Summary
