He’s blaming himself. Of course he is. He promised himself he’d never let harm come on Shen QingQiu’s way again, after all. Granted, he failed a couple of times, and Shen QingQiu may or may not have lost count of how many wife plots already hit him (a lie, it was thirteen now) but still. What did Shen QingQiu have to do to make his silly, stupid husband understand that it’s not his fault?
He lets out a heavy sigh. He raises a hand to pat the top of Luo BingHe’s head. Luo BingHe, his sweet if foolish husband, lets his gaze fall to Shen QingQiu’s other hand, now gently caressing his own. His eyes glisten, but no tears fall. Shen QingQiu understood this a long time ago: Luo BingHe never cries when it truly matters.
This Master is alright, Shen QingQiu says as gently as he can, you don’t have to worry anymore.
Except there is a big, very real reason to worry, namely: Shen QingQiu’s voice.aka Shen QingQiu is hit by a curse. Confessions ensue, memories resurface and that one name finally comes to light.

“Is that…?” Lan Wangji whispered. The juniors were looking back and forth between Jiang Cheng and...Jiang Cheng.
The man that stood before them, weapon at the ready, was most certainly Jiang Cheng, from everything down to his hairstyle, icy scowl, and his glowing whip. But he appeared much younger, almost by two decades.
“What is this?” The younger Jiang Cheng snapped, Zidian began to spark angrily. “Is this some sort of trick? What the hell is going on? Are you the reason why we’re here?”
“...We?” The older Jiang Cheng mumbled in confusion. But then all of a sudden, he saw a baby version of his nephew peek out behind the man’s leg, staring at the two Jiang Chengs with a look of wonder and amazement.

The least you could do is threaten to break my legs, you know." That last part came out more honest than he expected. Because yeah. He'd rather Jiang Cheng threaten him with Zidian for all he cared that he might die, hell he'd rather Jiang Cheng maul him right here right now than straight up looking through him as if he was glass.
Jiang Cheng flinched upon contact, but he didn't turn. Wei Wuxian was only perceptive enough to notice the shiver through the thick fabric of his shoulder, gone in a second, replaced instead with firm, tense muscles.

During a night hunt, Wei Wuxian gets his body back and is now responsible for telling his shidi what happened without having a chance to escape. Of course that went wrong as well, but in a different way than he imagined. It seems like no matter what happened, Wei Wuxian will always be surprised by the sheer unconditionality of Jiang Cheng's love and faith.Series
