Summary
A flash of white engulfs them both, lightning blinding for a second, but Tommy doesn’t miss the way the soldier’s hold on the pome of his sword tightens.
One second, two, three, four,
Five.Thunder shakes the soil they’re in as if it was an earthquake, and Tommy notes the tiniest, smallest, most subtle of flinches the soldier tries to withhold within his armor.

or Techno's voices call for his attention one gardening day, and don't stop until he figures out their rather urging demands
Meanwhile, abandoned in exile, Tommy wonders if the tides of the sea might be more merciful than Dream's conditions, or if the water in his lungs will ache less than his friend's betrayal.
