    A spin-off story after chapter 43 of "Finding the Reasons to Exist" before the epilogue. It's a slow starting healing journey for a traumatised alien.

    All Eclipse wanted was to have a family, a home and be surrounded by those who needed him and depended on him. Everything he knew and grew up with was taken away from him by his very own brother. He had been created with the specific task to support Shadow, to help him and to guide him towards taking over the galaxy. Losing everything he knew meant that he only had Shadow left.

    Now he was forced to live on this planet among these lower creatures, shifted into a similar form to Shadows and forced to learn the ways of earthlings. Shadow didn't like him but Eclipse would find a way to have Shadow like him. He had to, they were brothers, they had to stick together. And only Eclipse could help Shadow with his memory troubles, as long as Eclipse was needed it was alright.

    This human hive mind they used through those screens was so inefficient though, why couldn't things start when he told them to?

    A slice of life story about how Eclipse lives with Stone and Shadow, slowly learning the ways of being an earthling through trial and error.

    Takes place after “finding the reasons to exist” with Eclipse learning how to live on earth normally lol!

    Spoiler-
    Eclipse thinks his purpose is to serve Shadow and his needs. Especially since after the black arms attacked, Shadow is suffering the aftermath, and has to depend of Eclipse. Stone has taken to two brothers in. Stone is the only human Eclipse can tolerate and will listen to. There are lots of ups and down, but that’s all apart of living and finding the joys in life for Eclipse. That’s the other thing, Eclipse is struggling with the loss of his entire race. He either wants to die, or kill someone every chapter lol!

She drags Sonic along to find it, but neither of them know how to react when they discover that the “weapon” they’re meant to retrieve is actually a young, injured, terrified little hedgehog. All Sonic knows is, he can’t let GUN hurt this child again.

    Sonic and Rouge find an abandoned GUN facility. Rouge was tasked in retrieving a “dangerous weapon”. Instead they discover a child. A child who was mangled. Who was left for dead. Sonic brings him home. Cares for him as his own kid. He tries his best to heal him with the help with Tails. Until GUN finds out and captures him again. But Sonic wasn’t having it. He immediately rescues him. Then they live happily ever after!!! Huzzah!!!!

    Peak angst! Like holy cow! I read this again on my work computer a few months after I first read it! And I wanted to cry again!

    Sonic finds Shadow as he’s getting attacked by GUN. He brings him to Maddie immediately as Shadow passed out and was on the verge of death.

    The entire series is them learning how to navigate through life. Through grief. Stone makes it his mission to take care of Shadow. Helping him through his trauma and to want to live through life and finding the things that matter.

    The specials are adorable too! I loved the Halloween one! I used it as a countdown to Halloween lol!
